Despite the team name, the 49ers’ home stadium is Levi’s Stadium at 4900 Marie P. DeBartolo Way in Santa Clara, according to the stadium’s A–Z guide. Santa Clara’s tourism bureau, Discover Santa Clara, puts San José Mineta International Airport about four miles from the stadium and SFO about 35 miles north of Santa Clara.
That distance shapes the day. From San Francisco and the Peninsula, the stadium’s public transportation page says Caltrain riders transfer to the VTA light rail Orange Line at Mountain View, and light rail stops at Great America Station on the stadium’s north side. ACE trains run from Stockton, Tracy and Livermore, among other stops, and Capitol Corridor trains from Sacramento and Oakland. If you’re staying in San Francisco, allow for the extra time and fare.

The parking page notes that event-day credit card lots are limited and may cost more than pre-paid parking passes.
Bring a clear bag no larger than 12 × 6 × 12 inches, a one-gallon clear zip-lock bag or a small clutch, under the bag policy. Only sealed plastic water bottles may be brought in, and complimentary sunscreen is available at Guest Services stations, per the A–Z guide.
